I got a few questions lately about how to work with limiting believes.
How to change them and open to new possibilities.

„I discovered that when I believed my thoughts I suffered, but when I didn’t believe them I didn’t suffer, and that this is true for every human being. Freedom is as simple as that. I found that suffering is optional. I found a joy within me that has never disappeared, not for a single moment. That joy is in everyone, always. And I invite you not to believe me. I invite you to test it for yourself."
– Byron Katie
The whole trick is not to believe fully in what you are hearing in your own head. If thoughts make you feel not good it's time to question them and see how true actually they are.
You can, one by one, peel off the bullshit that you take on from society, from your parents (we love them and appreciate but the mindset they gave us was not always the right one...),
school, or getting wrong conclusions abut yourself while experiencing traumas.
There are so many methods to work on your believes but today I will start with one;
The work by Baron Katie (https://thework.com)
And this is how it works:
1.NOTICE YOUR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS
Give them a voice. Don’t run away from them, just let them talk.
They are just emotions and will not do you harm but they really want to be heard
Who or what makes you jealous, upset, anger, fearful or sad?
Why? Recall a specific situation
The painful emotions are the sign is time to do the work ( always)
2. WRITE DOWN ALL THOSE FEARS OR OTHER EMOTIONS
Somehow when you write down those thoughts- minds calm down and the work can be done. So don't be lazy just take a pen and paper (or laptop) and try
- use short , simple sentences
3.QUESTION THOSE FEARS
Is this fear telling the ultimate truth?
Allow the authentic answers to arise
A question is invitation to the mind to show what else can be true, something beyond what we think we know and think
find examples of how it is or was not true in your life or others. ( if anybody else achieved it and did it it means Is possible for you too. Or if you believe nobody will ever love you ask a question- Is it really an ultimate truth? What about your parents, friends? Did you ever experienced somebody loving you?
The whole point is to make you see that those thoughts are not objectively true. So if they are not, maybe is better to create new truths for yourself instead of believing negative lies and start believing in them
4.TELL THE NEW STORY
write out a new story
Is it as true or truer than the original thoughts?
This exercise open consciousness to new possibilities and mind to search for new answers and opportunities
+make a list of the reason why you desire will work
+create an affirmation to support this new way of seeing things?
The whole thing about this exercise is that the mind and subconscious mind is telling us things that are not always true or relevant anymore.
They may have been used when we were children or when we went through some crap. But they are not relevant anymore very often.
So we have to question the objectives of the truth that our mind tries to sell us. You see those are just thoughts and we have capacity to change them to be more serving to us.
Of course, then we have to repeat them and start noticing again and again, how they can be true for us. It’s a practice, same like with building muscles in a gym. If you always believed you were shit and now you want start seeing your value again, you need to practice, repeat, commit to new you.
You simply need to create new neuronal connections in your brain and make the old, negative one change from highways to small countryside rarely-walk paths.
